Pyren Vineyard

Pyren Vineyard specialises in medium to full-bodied red wines with bright, local fruit expression and produces around ten wines per year. The vineyard is planted with shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, cabernet franc, malbet and petit verdot.

The wines are defined by the earth in which they are grown and by the weather that passes through in any given year. Pyren Vineyard is a two-time winner of the Best Wine In show Award at the Western Victorian Wine Challenge.

This wine is a concentrated bright ruby/purple in colour with a bouquet of cherry, blackberry and pepper. A full palate of blackberry, black olive and liquorice are well integrated, with an added light French oak influence. Broken quartz cabernet fruit is harvested at Pyren Vineyard and are the longest rows on the property.

Block E Shiraz

This shiraz is a 100 per cent whole bunch fermented wine of opulence. The palate is highly aromatic with lots of fruit.

2013 Broken Quartz Cabernet Sauvignon

Pyren Vineyard was planted in 1999 by two brothers, Brian and Kyven Joy, and currently is operated by Graeme Miles and Leighton Joy. The vineyard boasts exceptional views of the vineyard and the Pyrenees state Forest.
