Sally's Paddock at Redbank Winery

Neill and Sally Robb started Sally’s Paddock in 1973, and have continued to create high-quality wines ever since. Now run by their daughter, Sasha Robb, the vineyard specialises in red varietals and blends, and makes approximately 3000 cases of wine per year. Occupying a unique location in the Pyrenees region, the vineyard creates distinctive and individual wines that reflect the soil and site on which they are grown. Sally’s Paddock also sells homemade cakes, relishes, jams and chutneys, which are all made on-site by Robb herself. The vineyard offers online wine sales to its valued customers, through both Neill Robb’s Private Bin Wine Club and its website.

Tasting Notes

2013 Sally’s Paddock

Concentrated dark purple in colour with red-tinged edges, the wine features aromas of blackcurrant, plum, white pepper, cassis, dried herbs and earthy notes. The wine’s balanced flavours can be enjoyed across the palate of savoury spices and dense cedar black fruit. Intense earthy characters are overlaid with white pepper, cassis, dark chocolate and a hint of mint.

2014 Sally's Hill Cabernets

This 2014 vintage opens with fragrant red fruits, cassis, mixed herbs and floral aromas. Wood-aged maturity is evident, and the palate is intense due to firm tannins with dark cherry liqueur and dominant plum flavours. Generous fruit, oak spice and black and white pepper add complexity, depth and structure to the wine.
