For more than 35 years, the father and son team has applied traditional winemaking methods to hand-picking grapes, using open vat fermentations, basket pressing and barrel maturation, to produce deep, hearty and bold premium red wines.

Ian and Mark’s passion for excellence has resulted in a legacy of premium wines, with every drop living up to the family seal of approval. With more than 30 trophies and 150 awards, Summerfield Wines consistently produce outstanding shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and merlot in both varietal and reserve forms.

2015 Summerfield Saieh

To release a wine like Saieh is a dream for the team at Summerfield. It gives them great pleasure to be able to release another fantastic wine under Saieh’s name. Saieh was first produced in 2008 and has consistent Halliday scores of 94, 95, 96 and 97. The Saieh wine comes from five acres of wonderful shiraz just 1000m from the winery.

2015 Summerfield Sahsah

Named after Mark’s second daughter, Sahsah is something a little different. Mark has used French Oak and a portion of whole bunch and added this to traditional Summerfield winemaking techniques. The result is something exceptional.

2015 Summerfield Taiyo

Taiyo is named for Mark’s young son and is sourced from cabernet vines planted in 1970. This wine is big and firm, with 50 per cent whole bunch. There are blackcurrant, plums, cedar and spice on the nose while the palate is filled with fruit and fine soft tannins.

2015 Summerfield Reserve Shiraz

The Shiraz grapes for this our flagship wine were sourced from the original 1970 Summerfield plantings by Ian Summerfield. Red berries, spice, plums and cloves on the nose follow through to the palate but it is the balance and length that really finishes this wine.
