Blackjack Wines

BlackJack Wines, a boutique winery situated in the picturesque Harcourt Valley, has established an outstanding reputation for producing fine red wine. The winery was awarded a James Halliday 5-star rating again in 2011, adding to its long tradition of critical acclaim from many wine writers.

The winemakers, Ian McKenzie and Ken Pollock, consistently produce high quality red wines that reflect the vineyard and vintage variations. When you visit you can taste the full-bodied cabernet merlot and excellent range of shiraz offered for tasting, and talk to Ian or Ken about these ‘wines of the vineyard’, as well as the joys and despairs of grape growing and winemaking in historic Central Victoria. You will be assured of a warm welcome, particularly by the labradors, Lily and Bella!

Specialising in single vineyard wines, BlackJack Wines produce three renowned estate grown wines: BlackJack Wines Cabernet Merlot, the original BlackJack Wines Shiraz and the adjacent BlackJack Wines Block 6 Shiraz. In addition, two other wines are produced, using grapes grown in the Bendigo district. The BlackJack Wines Major’s Line Shiraz and Blackjack Wines Chortles Edge Shiraz are both fine examples of shiraz from the region.

If you enjoy red wine, make your way to Harcourt, just over an hour’s drive from Melbourne, and discover for yourself why BlackJack Wines has consistently been awarded many prestigious industry awards, and why its loyal customers return year after year to sample the latest vintage
